LNG vessel departs Australia Pacific LNG terminal

ConocoPhillips Australia can confirm that the CESI Qingdao LNG vessel was moved from the APLNG LNG Facility early Friday morning, following approval from Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

The ship has been moved to outer anchorage from Gladstone Harbour for further repairs by the ship owner in accordance with regulators’ safety orders.

All personnel on the vessel and at the LNG Facility remain safe and well.

We have been working with the ship captain and management, local and federal regulators, the Gladstone Port Corporation, and the customer to respond to this event.

ConocoPhillips as downstream operator will now focus on safely bringing the LNG facility back into operation to resume LNG production.
