Quoin Island Turtle Rehabilitation Centre

As the downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, we support the Quoin Island Turtle Rehabilitation Centre in Central Queensland. Locally owned and operated, the centre rescues, rehabilitates, and releases injured sea turtles. They are a registered charity under Australian Animal Care and Education, making a vital environmental impact.

Gladstone Healthy Harbour Partnership

As the downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, we have supported Gladstone Healthy Harbour Partnership since 2013, which was formed to independently monitor the harbour’s health. This supports our commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement by maintaining and improving the health of Gladstone Harbour.

Curtis Island Beach Clean

Organised by Tangaroa Blue and ReefClean, and sponsored by the three Curtis Island LNG operators, this biennial beach clean-up focuses on removing marine debris from Curtis Island’s coastline. Our workforce volunteers alongside others to collect and record debris in the Australian Marine Debris Initiative Database, helping support future prevention efforts.

Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy

The Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy (QMEA), a Queensland Resources Council initiative, delivers hands-on school programs promoting careers in STEM and the resource sector. As downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, we proudly support QMEA alongside other partners. These programs guide students toward STEM-focused employment in energy and resources. Queensland Symphony Orchestra Gladstone Enrichment through Music Program

As the downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, we partner with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra to deliver the Gladstone Enrichment through Music (GEM) program. GEM provides musical education and mentoring for high school and primary students, culminating in free community and school concerts featuring students and orchestra musicians. Workshops offer hands-on experience with world-class conductors and performers. 

Yalari Indigenous Scholarship

Founded in 2005, Yalari is a not-for-profit organisation that provides full boarding school scholarships to Indigenous children from regional and remote communities across Australia. We have supported Yalari since 2020, helping create generational change through education, student support and post-school opportunities for young Indigenous Australians. 

Australia Pacific LNG STEM Central

STEM teachers smiling in a hallwayIn partnership with Central Queensland University, ConocoPhillips as the downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG sponsored the creation of STEM Central, a cutting-edge facility at Gladstone Marina campus. Opened in 2018, it addresses STEM knowledge gaps in regional areas, supports teacher development, and engages students through hands-on learning. The publicly accessible venue benefits the wider community and promotes long-term interest in STEM education. In 2020, STEM Central developed the Buraligim Weiber program, which provides Year 4 students the opportunity to engage with hands-on learning in the newly launched STEM central collaborative, demonstrating collective impact and collaboration. 

Spark Engineering Camp

A Youth Without Borders initiative, this week-long STEM camp gives Year 10–12 students hands-on exposure to engineering and science through interactive workshops, university experiences and guest speakers, including leading Queensland scientists. With our support, the program helps inspire the next generation of STEM professionals by broadening students’ understanding of study and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. 

COGSY Gear Shift Program

The Gear Shift Program, delivered by COGSY in partnership with Gladstone State High School, provides disengaged young people aged 15–18 with practical, pre-vocational training and exposure to future career pathways. With our support as downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, students build confidence, develop positive work habits and gain real-world workplace experience that helps prepare them for future employment and training opportunities. 

Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service

As the downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, we are a long-term sponsor of the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service. This vital service enables rapid deployment of medical and rescue teams across Central Queensland. Supporting major accidents, transfers, and disaster response, it aligns with ConocoPhillips’ SPIRIT values, delivering life-saving support to the community. 

Gladstone Airport Patient Transfer Facility

As downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, we are supporting the delivery of a purpose-built facility at Gladstone Airport to improve the safety, comfort and efficiency of aeromedical patient transfers. The facility will support better access to critical health transport services, enhance the experience of patients and families during transfers, and strengthen health infrastructure across the wider region.

Bob’s Garage

As downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, we support Bob’s Garage, which provides a safe and welcoming place for men to access early support, improve wellbeing and build stronger community connections. The long-term community benefit is earlier intervention in men’s health and wellbeing, reduced social isolation and stronger informal support networks that can help prevent issues from escalating. 2026 is our first year of support.

Roseberry Dignity Hub

The Roseberry Dignity Hub provides practical support for people experiencing homelessness, including showers, laundry, food, hygiene items and referrals to support services. The Hub helps create greater dignity, stability and connection to support, reducing barriers to recovery and improving pathways toward safer and more secure living circumstances. We began supporting the Dignity Hub in 2025 and continued that support in 2026 as downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG. 

Queensland Symphony Orchestra – Symphony Under the Stars

The Queensland Symphony Orchestra partners with us as downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, with support from Gladstone Regional Council, to deliver a free annual live performance for the community. Students from the GEM Prodigy Program perform alongside orchestra musicians, helping nurture local talent and inspiring the next generation of performers. Through its education, mentoring, touring and artistic partnerships, the Orchestra plays an important role in enriching Queensland’s cultural life. 

Gladstone Amateur Basketball Association’s state league program

As downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, we support the Gladstone Amateur Basketball Association’s state league program, providing local athletes with opportunities to compete at a high level. The program attracts visiting teams and supporters to Gladstone, contributing to the local economy, fostering regional pride and supporting the long-term growth of sport and youth participation in the region.
