Kids from Minyerri and Mataranka communities travelled to Jilkminggan, 450km south of Darwin, to participate in a two-day sporting carnival where they received race booklets and medals for their efforts! Booklets and medals have also travelled 870km from Darwin to Gapuwiyak in North East Arnhem Land to be awarded to kids who took part in the community’s

obstacle race…

Over 1,000 people got up early on a crisp June morning in Darwin to take part in the 45th NT City2Surf comprising of two events: a 12km run from the Darwin Esplanade along the coast line into Nightcliff or a 4km loop. The ConocoPhillips Marathon4Kids program consists of an eight-week training program conducted in schools that encourages students to run 41 kilometres in the lead up to the City2Surf, with the last 1.195 kilometres run on the day.
