ConocoPhillips and Australia Pacific LNG supports Symphony Under the Stars

What a turn-out Gladstone! Over 4,500 patrons came to see Symphony Under the Stars in late July. ConocoPhillips and Australia Pacific LNG are proud supporters of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.

Thanks to ConocoPhillips Australia, downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG,  Gladstone once again enjoyed the annual Symphony Under the Stars concert in late July, performed by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Alondra de la Parra.

Over 4,500 locals packed the GPC Marina Parklands amphitheatre to enjoy the vibrant sounds of classic and modern compositions played by world class musicians.

The Queensland Symphony Orchestra plays a vital role within the Gladstone musical community; educating and mentoring aspiring performers from as young as primary school to seasoned musicians.

“We were delighted to see so many people attend the Symphony Under the Stars concert. We believe in the power of music to inspire and delight, and it is a pleasure to work with this great orchestra as they share music with people throughout Queensland” said Warwick King, CEO Australia Pacific LNG.

Gladstone hosts the Gladstone Enrichment through Music (GEM) Program, sponsored by ConocoPhillips Australia, as downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, which will see the orchestra return to our region in August to present a special education concert for schools, as well as the Community in Concert event.
