Barossa Project Supplier Briefings

In August 2018, the Barossa Team held supplier briefings in Perth and Darwin for local companies to hear about the opportunities to provide goods and services to the project.

Nearly 200 people representing around 100 local companies attended the briefings which are a commitment of the Barossa Australian Industry Participation Plan.

TechnipFMC and MODEC presented on their pre-qualification requirements and work scopes as part of the design competition for the FPSO facility.

Barossa Project Services and Procurement Manager, Mike Reid, also presented on the pre-qualification and HSE requirements, and project wide, drilling and subsea work packages for the project. Local suppliers also heard from the Industry Capability Network (ICN) on how they can register interest against specific packages. We have partnered with the ICN on the Barossa Project to assist in identifying possible Australian companies, raise awareness, and communicate opportunities to supply goods and services.

A short video clip was filmed in Perth which shows the high-level of interest from potential vendors.

Work packages will now continue to be updated on the ICN Gateway enabling Australian companies to express interest in working on the project. View the video here
