ConocoPhillips employees clock over 700 volunteer hours in 2017

Over 120 dedicated ConocoPhillips employees, family members and direct hire contractors participated in our Employee Volunteering Grants Program last year, contributing over 1,080 volunteering hours to organisations they support across WA, Queensland, the Northern Territory and Timor-Leste.

Blessing Ceremony of the Noble Tom Prosser Facility

ConocoPhillips is the operator of the Bayu-Undan field, located offshore in the Timor Sea within the Joint Petroleum Development Area (JPDA). Recently, ConocoPhillips hosted a blessing ceremony at the Noble Tom Prosser facility and the new well (W-12), located at the existing wellhead platform (WP1) in the Bayu-Undan field.

Bayu-Undan provides high school scholarships to 17 Timorese students

In 2016, ConocoPhillips, on behalf of the Bayu-Undan Joint Venture, began a program with the Jesuits Mission in Timor-Leste, to provide secondary school scholarships to students from economically disadvantaged families in Kasait area, to access high quality high school education at Colegio Santo Inacio do Loiola.

Australia Pacific LNG recently reconfirmed its plans to be a major contributor to regional and state economic growth in Queensland. Through its operations across the gas fields in the Surat and Bowen basins and its LNG processing and export facility on Curtis Island, Australia Pacific LNG expects to spend around $3 billion in planned activities in 2018.

Leigh Buchan - swimming for a cause

Leigh Buchan, geoscience data specialist in ConocoPhillips’ Australia West business unit, participated in the 3.6-kilometer Busselton Jetty Swim 2018 on February 11. With the encouragement of his coworkers, Leigh overcame his aversion to open water and raised over $10,000 for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, the institution that helped save the life of his three-year-old grandson, Robbie.
