ConocoPhillips Australia Donates $50,000 to GIVIT’s Bushfire Appeal

GLADSTONE – ConocoPhillips Australia today announced a donation of $50,000 to GIVIT to support relief efforts following the bushfires in Central Queensland.
“Our thoughts are with the Central Queensland community who are dealing with the impact of these devastating fires,” said ConocoPhillips Australia East President, Wendy King.

“An event like this impacts an entire community and we want to play our part and support those who need it most. Donating through GIVIT means that local charities and services will be able to access what they need to assist the community during and after the fires,” Ms. King said.

“We want to extend our sincere gratitude to all emergency responders and volunteers – including members of our ConocoPhillips team – who have worked tirelessly over the past weeks to protect our community and limit the tremendous harm caused by the fires,” she said.

ConocoPhillips Australia is a shareholder and operator of the Australia Pacific LNG facility on Curtis Island, near Gladstone.
