Our Charitiable Investment and Sponsorship Giving Pillars are:
Globally, ConocoPhillips is committed to healthy ecosystems as they are critical to our survival. Two-thirds of the world could be facing severe water and biodiversity stressed conditions by 2025. This direction aligns with our business and brand; in addition, it is important to our stakeholders and communities.
We invest in the preservation and support of natural resources because we believe development and conservation can co-exist. We are particularly driven to support projects that provide sustainable solutions connected to our business, or are relevant to the areas near our operational assets.
Through community investments, we prioritise environmental programs that:
- Support integrated solutions for water issues and biodiversity in the areas where we operate
- Support indigenous land and water based enterprise in the areas where we operate
Currently, we support the following environmental programs:
- West Arnhem Land Fire Abatement Program (WALFA)
- Healthy Harbours (through Charles Darwin University)
- Port Curtis Harbour Watch
- and many more…
ConocoPhillips Australia supports industry related education and training programs with a strong focus on mathematics, science and engineering disciplines. These include school-based programs, SPIRIT scholarships for university students, graduate programs, internships and apprenticeships. We also support community education initiatives and capacity building programs that are non-industry-related:
The health and safety of our employees and our communities is at the core of everything we do. Through our community investments we seek to improve the health of the communities in which our employees live and work.
Community & Arts
The Arts do more than simply entertain; they have the ability to bring a community together and foster strong relationships within it. We support many different community-based social services, arts and civic organisations.
