Energy Efficiency Opportunities

The Energy Efficiency Opportunities program is mandatory for corporations that use more than 0.5 petajoules (PJ) of energy per year. There are approximately 210 corporations registered for the Energy Efficiency Opportunities program.

In 2008 ConocoPhillips carried out the Energy Efficiency Opportunities assessment of the Darwin Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant. The Darwin LNG plant is a relatively new facility, having been commissioned in the first quarter of 2006, and was designed to incorporate a number of energy saving measures, such as use of heat recovery systems and re-capture of offtake flash gases.
