The most pleasing aspect of our community engagement, is that many inspiring initiatives actively involve the time, energy and commitment of our employees and contractors.

Our support includes in-kind giving, infrastructure development, training and employee volunteerism. The participation of our employees in community activities and the volunteering of their time, skills, energy and donations are of special significance to our community engagement program.

We encourage and support employees to be active and participate in our communities. The company provides financial support to local community groups where employees are involved in achieving outcomes.

The “Darwin or Bust” 4,500 kilometre motorcycle ride from Perth to Darwin, was a fund-raising initiative of our offshore employees. It raised money for the Alola Foundation of Timor-Leste. The riders had strong support from their peers and the Company matched dollar for dollar.

Other volunteer programs have included Clean Up Australia Day, World’s Greatest Shave, Blood drives, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Movember, Breast Cancer Auction, Jeans for Genes Day and various ‘busy bees’.
