New Hire Training

All new hires will be invited to participate in a specifically designed curricula to help learn about the industry, our company and professional development topics that have shown to be beneficial to employees who’ve just come onboard.

A key component of this curricula is a two-day Getting to Know ConocoPhillips -New Hire Orientation that you can attend within six months of joining us. 

Professional Development

We are committed to the personal and professional growth of our employees, offering a variety of development programs and training specifically designed to help individuals achieve personal and career success with ConocoPhillips. 

Technical training is aligned to specific career pathways and is customised to our operations and where possible aligned to nationally recognised competencies. Equally, we provide training programs designed to develop leadership as well as people management and business skills. Education assistance is also available to help you further your professional career.

Networks and Knowledge Sharing

We encourage learning to take place through sharing knowledge. There are plenty of opportunities for networking within the organization.  Communities, forums and clubs encourage and facilitate knowledge sharing and personal development.


Talent Management Teams

At ConocoPhillips, we have more than 20 different functional-based Talent Management Teams (TMTs) that help identify the company’s future talent needs, assess current skills gaps and recommend actions to fill those gaps.

These teams optimise the development of people with technical or highly specialised skills so that they can be shared globally or regionally by the company in order to successfully implement its strategy.
